    GIRALDA

    Sister building to the Koutoubia in Marrakesh an the tower of Hassan in Rabat, it was minaret to the old XII C. Mosque and is today a tower of the Cathedral. It is 96 m (315 ft) high, and is a valuable architectural jewel, pride of the arab genius, attributed to Heber (1184).

    CATHEDRAL

    Built on the remains of the Aljama Mosque in 1402-1511.A magnificent building which was built of such that no other could equal it. It is the largest and one of the most beautiful Gothic. Churches of Christianity, at the same it is a genuine museum of works of art and historic souvenirs.

    ALCAZAR PALACE

    A magnificent Mudejar fortress built by Peter I of Castille in 1360, over the palaces of the Mohammetan Kings and inside the great walls joining the latter to the Golden Tower, passing by the Silver Tower. It has been reformed several times, during the of John II, Charles V, Philip V and Alphonse XIII.

    GOLDEN TOWER

    Thus named because one time it had glazed tiles around the top which, on reflecting the sun, caused the effect of shining gold. It was built in 1220 by the Governer Cid Abu el Ola asan advanced bastion in the defence of the Alcázar, to which it was connected by the wall. Later it became the treasury and prison under Peter I of Castille.
